An excellent weekend party spot in Manchester, Socio Rehab is a no-frills venue with lots of concrete and knackered 1970s sofas, says Jenny. Cocktails are reasonable priced at around £5, and the bar team are incredibly slick. Unfazed by the crush that often takes place at the bar, they can make two different cocktails each at the same time using both hands, but not in an annoying Tom Cruise way. The drinks are a mixture of classics plus newstuff, which are quite kitsch but very inventive – one comes with a Curly Wurly garnish.

Top bar, top cocktails, good crowd, good music.
The best cocktails in the city. I’ve tried plenty of places that claim they have the best cocktails but Socio wins. Probably best cocktails in the country but I can only compare to London.
Between £6 – £8 on average for a cocktail. You’ll be well on your way after just one though.
My favourite – Gingerbread Manhattan – cool twist on a classic. Try their normal Manhattan too – awesome.
